Every NorStar 1s Team Is Headed to Nationals!

NorStar Volleyball is proud to officially announce a major milestone for our club: every one of our 1s teams has qualified for Nationals.

This accomplishment represents an incredible season of hard work, growth, resilience, and commitment across our program. From the first practices of the year to the final qualifying moments, our athletes and coaches continued to raise the standard, compete with purpose, and represent NorStar with pride.

For a club in only its second year of operation, sending all of our 1s teams to the national stage is a huge step forward and a powerful reflection of the foundation being built within NorStar Volleyball.

A Massive Milestone for a Year 2 Club

Qualifying even a single team for Nationals is a massive accomplishment that requires months of dedication, discipline, and teamwork. But to have every single 1s team achieve this goal—in only our second year of club operation—is almost unheard of.

This milestone speaks volumes about the incredible foundation being built within our program. It proves that our training methods, our coaching staff, and our culture of grit and resilience are operating at the highest level. In just two short years, NorStar has transformed from the "new club on the block" into a nationally recognized powerhouse.

A Club-Wide Achievement

Qualifying for Nationals is never easy. It takes consistency, focus, teamwork, and the ability to perform under pressure against strong competition. This season, our 1s teams embraced that challenge. Each group had its own path, its own defining moments, and its own obstacles to overcome. But together, they helped make this one of the most exciting seasons in NorStar history.

14-Teal: Building Confidence and Competing with Heart

Our 14-teal team showed tremendous growth throughout the season, continuing to build confidence, chemistry, and competitive toughness with every tournament.

At this age level, development happens quickly, and this group embraced the process. They learned how to battle through momentum swings, trust each other in big moments, and stay composed against strong opponents.

Their qualification for Nationals is a reflection of their commitment to improving every time they stepped on the court. The future is bright for this group, and their national qualification is an exciting milestone in what is only the beginning of their NorStar journey.

15-1: Earning Their Bid and Making a Statement

Our 15-1 team put together a standout season, highlighted by earning a USA bid and finishing 5th at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier.

This group continued to prove themselves against strong competition, showing discipline, determination, and steady growth throughout the year. Their performance at the Pacific Northwest Qualifier was a major moment for the team and a clear example of their ability to compete at a high level when it mattered most.

Their journey to Nationals was built on hard work, trust, and the willingness to keep pushing. The 15-1 team has made NorStar proud, and we are excited to see them carry that momentum onto the national stage.

16-1: Strong League Finish and Open Division Growth

Our 16-1 team finished 5th overall in the Northern California league, a strong accomplishment in a competitive field and a reflection of the team’s consistency throughout the season.

This group also embraced one of the toughest schedules in the club, competing in the Open Division at multiple qualifiers and testing themselves against some of the strongest teams in the country.

That level of competition challenged the team to grow quickly, sharpen their game, and rise to the demands of high-level volleyball. Throughout the season, they continued to push forward, gaining valuable experience and showing the toughness needed to compete on a bigger stage. Their qualification for Nationals reflects the growth, grit, and competitive mindset they developed all season long.

17-1: Big Finishes and Big Moments

Our 17-1 team also had an impressive season filled with major accomplishments, including a 3rd place finish at Far Westerns.

This group consistently showed leadership, talent, and the ability to perform in high-pressure moments. Their success this season also extended beyond tournament finishes, with athletes earning individual recognition and college opportunities that reflect the strength of the program.

Their journey to Nationals has been marked by resilience, competitive drive, and a strong sense of team identity. As they prepare for the national stage, this group has already left a lasting mark on the season.

More Than a Bid

Having every 1s team qualify for Nationals is a major competitive achievement, but it also speaks to something bigger.

It shows the direction of the club. It reflects the commitment of our athletes. It highlights the work of our coaches. And it confirms what our NorStar community already knows: something special is being built here.

Across every age group, our players have grown as athletes, teammates, and leaders. They have learned how to compete, how to respond, how to support each other, and how to keep raising the bar.

That growth is what makes this accomplishment so meaningful.

A Special Shoutout to 14 Copper

We also want to give a special shoutout to our 14-Copper team, who may not be heading to Nationals but still had a season worth celebrating.

This group showed tremendous growth, competitiveness, and heart throughout the year, and delivered one of the club’s proudest tournament moments, earning 2nd place in Gold at the 2026 JVA West Coast Cup.

Their season is a reminder that success at NorStar is not defined by one tournament or national qualifications. It is defined by progress, effort, confidence, teamwork, and the way athletes show up for each other.

14-Copper did all of that and more.
